DBAT is a separate non-profit association dedicated to educating and informing the public about activities and opportunities in downtown Tallahassee. DBAT also advocates on issues important to the downtown business community.
The Tallahassee Downtown Improvement Authority (TDIA) was created by an act of the Florida Legislature in 1971. This act created a special assessment district to assist property owners, businesses, and individuals in the promotion of downtown as a hub for development, business, hospitality, government, art, and culture. The TDIA is governed by an eleven-member board of directors that are appointed by the Mayor of the City of Tallahassee.
We work together on many occasions but are separate organizations.
Unfortunately we are not able to offer a discount at the Calhoun Street garage.
We invite all downtown business owners and staff to attend our meetings. If your business does not have a membership, the cost is $10 per person, per meeting to attend.
